Couse description
Apologetics will help students understand why Christians believe what they believe, enabling them to defend the Christian faith biblically. In the first semester, students explore a brief history of apologetics and the practice of apologetics in the early church. Following the theme of historical apologetics, each module connects the principles and practice of apologetics today to the practice of the early church. The lesson content helps students grasp the consistent practice of apologetics since the first disciples began going into all the world to preach the gospel.
Semester two picks up with additional topics relevant to the Christian faith. Throughout the semester, the value of the historical life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ is emphasized. Through Him, students find truth as they ask the big questions of life. Such topics as evangelism, creationism, and the existence of evil all come into focus as students focus on Jesus. Each module in the course points students back to the Living Word as they explore the principles and practices of apologetics.
