Debbie - Homeschool Parent

“Thank you for providing Sevenstar Academy to us. The classes were challenging but seemed to teach John some new skills in time-management, organization, and self-teaching. I think he’ll do really well in college.”

Ginger - Parent

“Thank you! All 24 of my daughter’s dual credits that she took from Sevenstar transferred into her major at the University of Valley Forge. I couldn’t have done it without your wisdom and flexibility! My gratitude is overflowing!”

Aligning hearts and minds in a firm foundation

Sevenstar Academy’s method of instruction prepares students with transferable skills for college, career, and to be an ambassador for Christ.

Sevenstar Academy, our mission is to align students’ heads and hearts on a firm foundation. That firm foundation includes a high-quality academic curriculum centered within a biblical worldview with personalized experiences that provide students with a sense of community.

Whether enrolled full-time or just picking up a few courses at Sevenstar Academy, our goal is to help each student progress to their high school diploma as they prepare for their God-given calling in life.

We understand that the world of education is changing. Traditional schooling does not always meet a family or student’s needs, whether it is due to schedule conflicts, location, or learning style. At Sevenstar Academy, we say, “At your pace, any place, at any time.” The key is tailoring the approach to the student’s specific goals and needs.

Our courses for 6th-12th grade students are asynchronous. They can be completed as individual classes to supplement education at a traditional school or as part of a full, individualized learning plan culminating in a diploma from Sevenstar.

Frequently asked questions

Are Advanced Placement Courses offered?
Sevenstar offers a wide range of College Board approved Advanced Placement (AP) courses. The courses offer college-level curricula meant to prepare high school students to test and receive college credit. Because Sevenstar Academy is a virtual high school, students must identify local schools where they can take the test. Application and payment for May exams must be completed in October.
Are Dual Credit courses offered?
Our dual credit program enables students to earn high school and college credits by taking a single course. For many high school students, it is an affordable way to gain college credit, earn scholarships, and explore various Christian colleges. Most dual credit courses are college freshman-level courses with no prerequisites.

At most institutions, students will enroll in classes with a college professor and learn within the college institution’s learning management system. Upon successful completion of a dual credit course, students will earn one credit at Sevenstar for each 3 or 4 credit hour college course. The college or university will also provide the student with a final grade and send instructions to request an official transcript for the credit(s) earned.

What is credit recovery (CR)?
Students who do not pass a course the first time may take the credit recovery (CR) version of the course if it’s available. CR courses offer the same quality content that is offered in our standard courses delivered during the school year. However, each course has been condensed to ten weeks. The courses are made more manageable by providing pretests that may exempt students from lessons on which they prove mastery. Students are expected to commit at least 2–3 hours a day for each CR course. Students who pass CR courses can only receive up to a maximum grade of 70%. Please be aware that credit recovery courses are not NCAA approved.
What are the time commitments for an online course?
Students need an appropriate amount of time to work in courses to be successful. For a standard course, an estimated amount of time per week per course is 4–6 hours. An honors courses requires approximately 6–7 hours per week, and an AP courses requires approximately 8-10 hours per week. These are general recommendations only; times will vary according to each student.
