AP® US History*
Grades: 10, 11, 12
Couse description
The study of history provides us with an opportunity to see God’s hand in our story. AP® US History guides students through exploration, investigation, and evaluation of the story of the United States. They discover that history isn’t a mere collection of information about the past but a dynamic story of how the present world came to be. History shifts and is reshaped as new evidence and details are revealed. Our study of history provides an opportunity to evaluate the beliefs and philosophies of those who have shaped history against the truth and guidelines of God’s Word. It is also an instrument for exploring decisions and the outcomes of those decisions as we apply those lessons to our time. This course focuses on evaluating various interpretations of history as well as on developing skills to evaluate history from a biblical perspective.
This course is designed to provide a college-level experience and prepare students for the AP® exam. Students wishing to take the AP® exam are responsible for registering prior to the November 15 deadline. AP® Exams are administered the following May. Students must take the AP® exam in order to receive AP® credit.
*Coming Fall 2025
