AP® English Literature and Composition
Grades: 11, 12
Couse description
Read and analyze imaginative literature from various periods and disciplines while sharpening your understanding of how a work’s style, figurative language, theme, and other literary elements contribute to its meaning and cultural significance. Students sample a variety of literary genres from a wide selection of renowned authors, viewing them with a critical eye and analyzing them against the truth of God’s Word. This course fulfills one required English credit for high school graduation.
This course is designed to provide a college-level experience and prepare students for the AP® exam. Students wishing to take the AP® exam are responsible for registering prior to the November 15 deadline. AP® Exams are administered the following May. Students must take the AP® exam in order to receive AP® credit.
