Couse description
What does it say? English 3 guides students into exploring and evaluating literature and employing literary techniques in their own writing. Students learn to examine all communication based upon known truth and evaluate it against the truths of God’s Word. In this course, students explore American and Shakespearean plays, explore informational texts, perform close reading, analyze the historical and cultural significance of poetry, analyze rhetorical devices, and research and write argumentative pieces. Along the way, they discover how people thought, lived, and wrote about their experiences. The goal is for students to be thorough, accurate, and compelling in their writing as they reflect God’s truth.
