Yes! Sevenstar Academy is fully accredited by Cognia, which unifies accreditation standards from NCA CASI, NWAC, and SACS CASI. We are also a proud member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).
At Sevenstar Academy, students shape their own school day, often starting in the morning with a clear plan of assignments to complete. They work independently through online lessons, quizzes, and projects, while staying in touch with instructors as needed. This flexible approach lets students balance academics with other commitments like athletics, travel, or family time.
The Sevenstar admissions process can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, depending on your specific enrollment goals and the availability of your student’s records. For full-time students, additional steps like submitting transcripts and verifying identity may add time to the process. If your student needs to complete any assessment testing or if there are unique situations requiring special approval, this may also extend the enrollment timeline. We recommend contacting our team early to ensure a smooth and timely process.
Yes, you can! Whether you’re supplementing your child’s current curriculum or focusing on a specific subject, Sevenstar gives you the flexibility to choose one or more courses that fit your family’s needs.
Sevenstar courses are generally asynchronous with a few synchronous components integrated throughout. This means that students can work through the courses on their own schedule without having to attend regular live classes. However, students do participate in live, one-on-one conversations with their instructors at specific points in their courses.
Courses start every Monday, offering flexibility in planning. Students may work at an accelerated pace but must meet minimum completion times: 6 weeks for a 0.5 credit course and 12 weeks for a 1.0 credit course. Weekly submissions are required. Need to finish faster? Contact us to discuss your options.
Students receive a welcome email before the course begins and must schedule a welcome call within the first two weeks. Instructors stay connected through one-on-one conferences, live Discussion-Based Assessments (DBAs), and the messaging system in the portal. DBAs help support understanding, provide feedback, and build communication skills. Instructors also offer feedback on assessments to guide student progress. Read more about DBAs on the Academics page.
